Tshosane: ‘South Africa were lucky’

Botswana coach, Stanley Tshosane, says South Africa were
lucky to beat his side 4-1 in a 2014 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

Tshosane bemoaned the fact that his defence gifted Bafana
Bafana their four goals and feels his side were a little scared of the South
African team in the first 45.

“We expected this. We had a very good plan and we managed to
contain them for 20-30 minutes, but unfortunately we lost,” said Tshosane.

“I think South Africa were very lucky today because all the
goals that they scored were bonuses from my players. My players were just
shivering in the first half and I don’t know what the problem was.

“The three goals they scored before the penalty were all
coming from my defenders. So I think that is something we have to work on.”
