The Selibe Phikwe-based side, Nico United has joined the big boys in this seasons Mascom Top 8.
The boys from the mining town of Selibe Phikwe made it into the semi-finals via a hard fought win against Mochudi Centre Chiefs.
It, however, looks like they will wait for some time until they know their opponents.
United are the only side amongst the four that have never won the prestigious tournament.
In its inception Township Rollers claimed the first title, followed by Gaborone United who wrestled it from them before BDF XI took it from the Money machine last season.
No team has managed to defend the cup in its history which gives Nico United hope that should the Gods of football smile on them they will attempt to wrestle it north of Dibete where it has never gone.
United are the only team from the north that managed to advance from the quarterfinals as they beat Chiefs 3-0 at home before losing only 1-0 in the return leg.
The abandoned game made it no good for the mining town boys as they spent two days on the road amongst a busy league schedule.
The format of the semifinals is such that a toss will be made at a later stage. The BPL could not divulge much information on when exactly the draw will be as they were still to consult with the Local Organising Committee and the sponsor.
