An 88th minute goal from Emmanuel Adebayor handed Togo a 2-1 win over Liberia in thier 2017 Group A Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the Stade de Kégué on Sunday.
Togo had to come from a goal behind to beat the visitors which saw them go second in Group A on goal difference after Tunisia beat Djibouti 8-1 on Saturday.
It was a rather dull opening first half with very few chances in front of goal, but Liberia managed to take the lead three minutes before the break courtesy of a strike from William Jebor, 1-0.
Togo came out the better side in the second 45 and managed to make their pressure tell with the equalising goal in the 63rd minute after Sadate Ouro-Akoriko found the back of the net, 1-1.
Togo continued to press forward, but the Liberian defence held them at bay for the most part.
Just as the game looked to be heading for a stalemate, Adebayor pooped up to score the winner in the 88th minute, 2-1.
