Township Rollers midfielder Edwin Moalosi was ecstatic after scooping the man of the match award for the second game in a row.
The attacking midfielder played an instrumental role in helping Rollers beat Extension Gunners 2-0 in a Botswana Premier League (BPL) match in Gaborone on Saturday.
Moalosi, who turned 29 last week Thursday, told Rollers' official website that he was happy to be recognised having celebrated his birthday.
"This is good birthday present for me, winning against Centre Chiefs is always a morale-boosting feeling since the two sides are rivals," Moalosi said.
"As I grow older, the team has become more important for me, so my contribution is always based on how it will benefit the team, not individual honour.
"Full credit to my team mates, we have shown that whoever comes into the team can do a good job in all the areas of the pitch," he added.
"In the first half we worked on getting the ball forward, but it was not easy; you always have to be very careful when you play a team of Centre Chiefs calibre.
"We managed to get the goals we needed to win, and I thank the fans for their birthday wishes on our facebook page this week and for supporting us as a team today."
