Uniao Flamengo Santos head coach Blessing Moyo has been put on indefinite suspension over misconduct.
Moyo, who was appointed at the start of the season, has been waiting for his work permit. But the tactician has been in charge of the team’s training sessions.
The club’s vice chairperson, Moholo Lesotlho confirmed the news when speaking to Mmegi Sport.
“Indeed, we have suspended Moyo indefinitely. He is suspended on an issue of conduct. It is in line with how he works with us (the management) and the team as a whole,” he said.
“The suspension is not necessarily about the team’s performance. His conduct has not directly affected the performance, but we felt like in the long-term it could have an impact.
"We have launched an investigation on the matter and as of now I cannot divulge more details. It will be unfair to us and him as well."
Nicknamed Ma-14, Santos have recorded two wins and five defeats in the BTC Premiership thus far thus season. They are placed 14th on the league table with six points.
Santos legend Innocent Ranku has taken over the reigns on a temporary basis pending the outcome of the investigations.
