Police XI coach Sthandwa Mogwadi says he is content with the 2-1 win over Botswana Defence Force XI this past weekend.
The Botswana Premier League encounter was staged at the Molepolole Sports Complex, but despite the win Mogwadi believes they are not going to be able to stop log leaders Township Rollers from claiming another title.
Rollers bagged the full three points after beating Security Systems on Sunday at the same venue.
“I am happy with the three points I got against BDF XI. It leaves us somewhere closer to the teams that we are competing with, but not Township Rollers,” said Mogwadi.
“Township Rollers is gone, we just have to hope that we can catch up with them in the second round."
Police XI will meet Security Systems after the FIFA international break on Sunday, November 19 and will want to claim another win.
Meanwhile on the log table, Police XI occupy the eighth spot with 11 points from eight matches so far, whilst Popa sit at the top with 24 points from as many matches.
