Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Mike Sithole believes that his side will mount a serious challenge for this season's BTC Premiership title.

Galaxy currently find themselves placed second on the league standings having recorded five wins, one draw and one defeat.

They are eight points behind log leaders Township Rollers, who have won all of their league matches, but Galaxy have a game in hand.

"For now we can't talk much about our league position," Sithole told Botswana Football.

"We still have a long way to go. My players are ready for Thursday rescheduled match against Miscellaneous.

Miscellaneous will host Galaxy in a league match at the Serowe Sports Complex on Thursday. Kick-off is at 19h00.

Sithole, who has won the BTC Premiership title with Mochudi Centre Chiefs, will be in charge of Galaxy in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.

"Teams become too excited to face us because of our last season success," the Zambian tactician continued.

"We will fight. There are many games to play including CAF."

The Jwaneng side qualified for next year's Confederation Cup after winning the 2016/17 Mascom Top 8 Cup.
