Botswana head coach Major David Bright has explained why Thabang Sesinyi will miss the Zebras' clash with Gabon.

The Zebras are set to lock horns with Gabon in an international friendly match in Libreville on Tuesday.

Sesinyi, who plies his trade in South Africa for Platinum Stars, reported for the camp where he was assessed and released.

“Sesinyi is struggling with a groin injury," Bright told the media.

Motswana tactician Bright stated that they managed to contact Stars head coach Roger De Sa regarding Sesinyi's injury.

"We communicated with his coach, Roger De Sa, who informed us that the player missed the last three matches because of injury," he revealed.

"He did report for camp though and is injured as confirmed by the Zebras team doctor."

Botswana forward Mogakolodi Ngele, who plays for South Africa side Mamelodi Sundowns, will also miss the match due to injury.
