Mochudi Centre Chiefs captain and midfielder Lesego 'Lesh' Galenamotlhala is keen to win the 2017/18 Mascom Top 8 Cup.

Magosi have struggled in the BTC Premiership this season and they find themselves placed 14th on the league standings.

Chiefs will take on Jwaneng Galaxy in a Top 8 Cup quarter-final first-leg match at the Lobatse Sports Complex on Friday.

Botswana international Galenamotlhala is confident that the team will return to winning against the defending Top 8 Cup champions.

"Our supporters should not lose hope," Galenamotlhala told local media.

"We understand their frustrations. They should come tomorrow (Friday).

"Top 8 is more like a dream cup. " It's the only medal I don't have," the 31-year-old added.

"The boys are ready to fight and we need our supporters to be with us."

Kick-off is at 20h00.
