The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has entered into an agreement with Pula Sports Marketing to pay the latter after the marketing company took BFA to court over unpaid fees.
Pula Sports Marketing was the company that represented the Botswana Premiership in a sponsorship negotiation capacity in 2014. The Association and Pula Sports' relationship ended badly and the company took legal action against BFA.
The matter has been settled out of court with the association binded to a payment plan decided by the two parties. The Association has had to look into its finance in order to make a payment plan however there was a delay in communication of this to Pula Sports Marketing.
The Botswana Football Association properties have NOT BEEN ATTACHED as a result. We believe it is in the best interest of the nation and the Association to take responsibility for any and all liability regardless.
We (BFA) however will bring to book anyone responsible for improper administration of public funds at the Association past, present or in the future.
