Gaborone United head coach Rodolfo Zapata has hailed Dirang Moloi as the greatest Botswana player of all-time.
Moloi, who is an attacking midfielder by trade, joined GU prior to the start of the current campaign and he has established himself as one of the club’s key players.
Argentine tactician Zapata has explained why he’s happy with the 32-year-old Moloi’s contribution at the Gaborone giants.
“I have no doubt that Moloi is the best player this country has ever produced,” Zapata told local media.
“With his creative ability, he has been the difference in most of the games we have played this season,” he said about the former Botswana international.
“He has also been giving some of our young lads guidance on and off the field.”
Moloi, who is one of the most technically gifted players in the country, has turned out for Notwane, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Township Rollers in the Botswana Premier League (BPL).
He has also played for Vasco Da Gama in the South African Premier Soccer League and DR Congo side CS Don Bosco.
