Township Rollers goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe is reportedly on the radar of South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Bloemfontein Celtic.

The lanky shot-stopper was on the books of PSL outfit Platinum Stars between 2012 and 2015, before rejoining Botswana Premier League (BPL) giants Rollers.

Since returning to Popa, Dambe has won two successive BTC Premiership titles with the Gaborone-based club and he’s said to have attracted interest from Celtic.

Nicknamed Phunya Sele Sele, Celtic currently have Cameroonian Patrick Tignyemb as their first-choice goalkeeper and they are believed to be keen to beef up their goalkeeping department.

Dambe is expected to provide stiff competition for Tignyemb if Phunya Sele Sele manage to sign the Botswana international from Rollers during current Transfer Window.

The 27-year-old Dambe is an experienced shot-stopper and he was part of the Botswana squad at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Equatorial Guinea.

The former Botswana under-23 international made 29 appearances in the Absa Premiership for Stars during his successful stint with the North West-based side.

He also won the MTN8 Cup and Telkom Knockout Cup with Dikwena during the 2013/14 campaign.

Botswana women’s national goalkeeper Sedilame Boseja is part of the Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies team.
