Extension Gunners head coach Itumeleng Duiker says the team needs to beef up its striking department during the current Transfer Window.

Mapantsola are placed seventh on the BTC Premiership standings having scored 14 goals in 13 league matches and Duicker is eager to bring in a reliable goalscorer.

The Lobatse giants have relied on Ofentse Mmipi, an attacking midfielder, for goals this season. The veteran attacker has scored six goals in the league thus far.

“We just need someone who can score goals,” Duicker told local media.

“We do have youngsters who are working very hard, but we need goals, desperately.

Duicker would like to have Sharps Shooting Stars striker Michael Mmelesi and Mochudi Centre Chiefs forward Khumoetsile Kufigwa at his disposal at Gunners.

“Just for example, someone like Mmelesi (Koloi) at Sharps, or a calibre of Kufigwa at Chiefs,” he added.

"I still don't understand why we failed to sign Kufigwa when he was here last time.”

Gunners will be looking to maintain their place in the top eight in the second round of the 2017/18 BTC Premiership campaign.
