Orapa United have released six players ahead of the second round of the current 2017/18 campaign.

The Ostriches, who were expected to mount a serious challenge for this season’s BTC Premiership title, have struggled in the league.

They are currently placed sixth on the league standings - 14 points behind log leaders Township Rollers with 17 matches left in the competition.

Zimbabwean trainer Bongani Mafu has recently been appointed Orapa head coach - replacing his countryman Mandida Ndlovu.

Daniel Nare, who served as the club’s caretaker coach following Ndlovu’s dismissal last November, is now Mafu’s assistant.

The club has since released the following players during the current Transfer Window:

Letumile Molebatsi
Bogosi Kaekwe
Mooketsi Hlabano
Kemmy Pilato
Mogomotsi Samson

The Ostriches will travel to the Molepolole Sports Complex where they will face Mochudi Centre Chiefs in a league game on Saturday.
