South African Premier Soccer League side, Bloemfontein Celtic are yet to sign Township Rollers goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe.
This is despite reports that Siwelele have captured the Zebras' net minder on a lengthy deal from Popa in the BTC Premiership.
According to Celtic’s assistant coach, John Maduka, he told the Botswana Premier League website that the former Platinum Stars keeper is still training with them.
However, the Malawian legend revealed that the technical team, led by coach Veselin Jelusic, is impressed with the keeper’s attitude.
“He is still with us and we are getting closer to making a decision on him. We are glad to have a keeper of his calibre,” Maduka told BotswanaPremierLeague.com
“There is a lot of admin going on when signing a player, we have to sort the paper work and so on and I am sure he will work with Patrick (Tignyemb) to do the job for the club.
“He is also familiar with the coach as they worked together a long time ago in Botswana. We are happy with what we see of him so far. At the end of the day the club will make an announcement very soon.
“But all I can say is that he is experienced, familiar with the PSL and is an international goalkeeper who will definitely add value in our goalkeeping department.
“He is a professional and we must prepare as technical team for emergencies in case anything happens to Patrick.”
