Rollers head coach Nikola Kavazovic was satisfied with his side’s performance against Uniao Flamengo Santos on Wednesday night.
Popa secured a 2-0 victory over Santos in a BTC Premiership match which was played at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium in Gaborone.
Second-half goals from Mosha Gaolalwe and Mthokozisi Msomi inspired Rollers to victory as they returned to winning ways having lost to Miscellaneous last weekend.
“The most important thing is that we managed to respond to losing at the weekend, we dominated the match,” he said.
“We probably had 85 percent of the possession, we never allowed them anywhere near our goal.
“We had to be patient in order to get our first goal, but once we did, we were were in a position to get more,” the Serbian added.
“One of the areas we are good at is set pieces in forward areas and I told the players to take advantage of situations like corner kicks.”
The win sees Rollers, who have lost once this season, extend their lead the top of the league standings.
