Township Rollers captain Maano Ditshupo says they want to take the momentum from their previous win into their next BTC Premiership game.

Popa recorded a 2-0 win over Uniao Flamengo Santos in a league game at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium on Wednesday.

Ditshupo, who is a central midfielder by trade, is wary of struggling Gilport Lions, who will host Rollers at the UB Stadium on Saturday.

“After the loss to Miscellaneous last Sunday the coach immediately talked to us, saying that he took full responsibility as the head coach," he said.

"He said we should not be discouraged because we had lost just one match in many months since the beginning of the season; nothing had changed.

Rollers are sitting at the top of the league standings, while Lions are placed at the bottom of table.

"We are still the same team that has been winning games and we should prepare to win again," he added.

"Against Santos we wanted to react to the loss, and we managed to do that. Now we want to continue with another win against Gilport.

"Games against teams on the lower end of the table are never guaranteed to be easy, these sides tend to want to prove a point and when they face Rollers they raise their game," Ditshupo explained.

"So we are not anticipating an easy match; but we are just ready to work on getting the points."

The game will kick-off at 19h00.
