Township Rollers head coach Nikola Kavazovic was pleased to see his charges dominate against Gilport Lions on Saturday night.
Goals from Tshepo Matete and Lemponye Tshireletso helped Rollers overcome Lions 2-1 at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium in Gaborone.
When speaking after the game Kavazovic said although his side was dominant Gilport made it hard and what mattered in the end was the three points.
"We faced one disciplined defensive organisation that we found hard to penetrate. But we managed to get the first goal from a set piece, a corner kick," he told Rollers' official website.
"At half time I decided to risk the health of (Segolame) Boy and (Edwin) Moalosi who were not fully fit, and we dominated when the second half started; we had about four good chances to score more goals.
"But late on, they managed to make it 2-1, and what mattered for us was to take the three points. Next week we will have players coming back from suspensions and injury," he continued.
"And people will see the Township Rollers they know, that they saw at the beginning of the season."
Defending champions Rollers remain at the top of the league standings - eight points above second-placed Jwaneng Galaxy.
