Jwaneng Galaxy came back to hold Township Rollers to a 2-2 draw in the 2017/18 Mascom Top 8 Cup semi-final first-leg match at the Lobatse Sports Complex on Sunday.

Rollers will host Galaxy, who are the defending champions, in the second-leg match at the National Stadium on Friday.

The match got off to a lively start and it was Galaxy, who broke the deadlock eight minutes into the game when Gilbert Baruti netted to make it 1-0 to the home side.

However, Rollers responded with a goal a minute later when Motsholetsi Sikele beat Galaxy goalkeeper Ezekiel Morake to make it 1-1 much to the delight of the away fans.

Rollers then took the lead for the first time when Mosha Gaolaolwe scored with a header to make it 2-1 to the visitors on the stroke of half-time.

The score was 2-1 to Rollers at the interval following a thrilling first-half in Lobatse.

In the second-half, Rollers coach Nikola Kavazovic decided to make a tactical change pulling out attacker Sikele and he introduced Ivan Ntenge, a defensive midfielder.

However, Patrick Kaunda had other ideas as he beat Rollers shot-stopper Keagile Kgosipula to make it 2-2 for Galaxy with three minutes left on the clock.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw with Rollers having grabbed two important away goals on the day.

In-form attacker Baruti, who had opened the scoring for Galaxy, scooped the Man of the Match award.
