The Botswana Premier League has joined forces with one of the world’s most powerful leagues in the Spanish La Liga.
The two professional football league bodies will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) as they want to forge new partnerships.
In a statement released to the media, the BPL and La Liga will enter in a partnership to be signed on Friday, 2 February 2018.
“La Liga, the top professional institution representing the first and second divisions in Spain, and Botswana Premier League (BPL) will be signing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friday, February 02 2018 at Lekidi Football Centre at 11am,” said the BPL.
The La Liga is currently aiming at increasing its footprint on the African continent as they want to improve the beautiful game beyond their borders.
In recent times, they have launched partnerships with the South Botswana Premier League Association and have also opened their first office in Africa in 2015, which is based in Johannesburg.
