Following his switch to SuperSport United in the South African Premier Soccer League, Botswana’s Mogakolodi Ngele is settling in well at Matsantsantsa A Pitori.
The Zebras international joined the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup finalists last week from Mamelodi Sundowns on a six-month deal and will want to make an immediate impact at his new team.
Speaking to the United’s Media and Communications officer, Brian Moshoeshoe, he said the man known as Tsotso has settled down quickly.
“Look, Ngele has settled well and he’s been here for few days but he has gelled with the team quickly,” Moshoeshoe tells BotswanaPremierLeague.com.
“I think he knows many of the players here and it’s not like he is meeting strangers. He is experienced since he comes from Sundowns and was key for Wits when they won the league last season.
“Apart from that, he is an international player with experience and that is why we went for him – he fits in well into our system.
“Looking at his style of play and his lethal left- foot, he can win you games and can be used in many ways based on what the coach is planning on the day.
“With the backing of our fans, I don’t doubt he will be a valuable member of the squad,” he continued.
“He can be the man when we launch long balls behind the defence, he can score from set pieces as we know teams win games from such situations.
“We also have the likes of (Aubrey) Modiba, (Thabo) Mnyamane and he will contribute with these guys and mostly because of his versatility, he will definitely help us finish on a high.”
Ngele has made two substitute appearances in the Absa Premiership for SuperSport since joining the club last week.
