Township Rollers were held to a 1-1 draw by Jwaneng Galaxy in the Mascom Top 8 Cup semi-final second-leg match at the National Stadium on Friday night.
The tie ended in a 3-3 draw on aggregate and Rollers booked their place in the final after winning on the away goals rule, while Galaxy bowed of the tournament.
Popa went into the game having scored two important away goals as the two sides drew 2-2 in the first-leg encounter at the Itekeng Stadium last weekend.
Rollers, who were the hosts, dominated the match from the start and Lemponye Tshireletso narrowly missed the target with a header in the 18th minute.
Nikola Kavazovic's charges kept pilling pressure on the Galaxy defence and they finally broke the deadlock in the 26th minute.
Motsholetsi Sikele, who had scored in the first-leg clash, netted with a tap in from close range to make it 1-0 to Rollers.
Galaxy tries to level matters before the half-time break, but Rollers stood firm at the back until the match referee Lekgotla Johannes blew the half-time whistle.
Rollers were leading 1-0 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate at the interval.
The defending champions Galaxy launched attacks after the restart as they looked to restore parity.
Botshelo Mafoko came close to scoring in the 64th minute when his effort shaved the crossbar as the visitors piled pressure on Rollers.
The visitors did level matters with eight minutes left on the clock and it was Terrance Mandaza, who scored with a header to make it 1-1 for Galaxy.
However, Rollers managed to contain Galaxy in the latter stages of the game and ultimately, the game ended in a 1-1 draw on the night.
Rollers will face either Gaborone United or Orapa United in this season's final after knocking out the defending champions Galaxy.
