Township Rollers midfielder Motsholetsi Sikele says that he was delighted to have scored in both legs of the Mascom Top 8 Cup semi-final tie.
The attacking midfielder netted as Rollers drew 1-1 with Jwaneng Galaxy in the second-leg clash at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday.
As a result, rollers booked their place in this season’s final after winning the tie on the away goals following a 3-3 draw on aggregate.
“I am happy to have scored again after scoring in the first leg,” Sikele told the club’s official website.
Sikele had netted for Popa as they drew 2-2 with Galaxy in the first-leg clash at the Lobatse Sports Complex in Lobatse over a week ago.
“It is just about working hard in training and applying yourself during the match. It is all down to teamwork and I credit my teammates for the work they put in,” he added.
“We had come out with the intention to win the game, and we knew the first goal was crucial to unsettle them. So, we worked hard we pressed and we got that first goal in the first half.
“They managed that late goal but we were organized enough to go through to the final.”
Rollers will now take on Orapa United in a repeat of the 2015/16 final. The Ostriches stunned Popa 3-1 at the Francistown Sports Complex in Francistown.
