BPL postpone two games due to CAF assignments

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) has confirmed it has postponed two fixtures due to continental commitments.

BPL clubs Townshp Rollers and Jwaneng Galaxy will play in the CAF inter-club competitions this weekend.

Galaxy are set to take on Mozambican side Costa Do Sol in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first round first-leg match in Maputo on Saturday.

On the other hand, Rollers are scheduled to host Sudanese giants Al Merrikh in the CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg game at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday.

The two teams were scheduled to play BTC Premiership matches on Wednesday.

The BPL has since released the following statement:

Kindly be informed that the following games;
1, Jwaneng Galaxy vs. Black Forest
2. BDF XI vs. Township Rollers
which were originally scheduled for Wednesday 07 February 2018 have been postponed to allow both Jwaneng Galaxy and Township Rollers to prepare for their CAF assignments.
