Orapa United assistant coach Daniel ‘Chicco Dance’ Nare has made it known that he wants to win the 2017/18 Mascom Top 8 Cup.
The Ostriches booked their place in the final of the lucrative competition after defeating Gaborone United 5-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
Nare watched on as Orapa thumped GU 4-1 in the second-leg clash at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday night.
“It was a highly tactical game. We knew they would come at us and they did,” Nare told the local media.
“We contained them and counter-attacked. I am happy for the boys. I want to win this cup,” the Motswana tactician added.
Orapa winger Kobamelo Kebaikanye scooped the Man of the Match accolade after netting two goals on the night.
“I thank God for leading us all the way from Orapa to Gaborone. We are so happy,” the former Township Rollers winger said.
Orapa will take on Rollers in a repeat of the 2015/16 Top 8 Cup final. The Ostriches stunned Popa 3-1 to win their maiden major trophy.
