Township Rollers head coach Nikola Kavazovic says he hopes his team will get the desired result against Sudanese side Al Merrikh.
Botswana giants will host Al Merrikh in the 2018 CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg game at the National Stadium on Saturday.
“We have been planning for this match since January 3, I had to sacrifice four league games because the focus was on reaching the Mascom Top 8 final and preparing for the Champions League," he said.
"We are still top of the league, so although we paid the price we are still in a good position. Al-Merrikh is an experienced team in African competition, they are a typical Arabic team, very disciplined and organised.
Rollers have done very well in the BTC Premiership this season having recorded 12 wins, two draws and one defeat thus far.
“Our players have a winning mentality when we play local football we win most of our games, but when it comes to international football- with the national team and the past Champions League games with Rollers- there has been a losing mentality," he added.
"That is the mindset we need to change; we need the winning mentality we have in our local games to be translated to the international stage."
