Six BTC Premiership matches took place over the weekend with the first match featuring Gilport Lions and Uniao Flamengo Santos on Friday night.
Santos midfielder Jackie Motlhathego opened the scoring, but Stephen Sibanda snatched a late equalizing goal as the two sides drew 1-1 at the Molepolole Sports Complex.
On Sunday, five matches were played across the country with Orapa United hosting Gaborone United in a highly anticipated match.
Onkabetse Makgantai scored the only goal of the match as Orapa secured a 1-0 victory over GU at the Itekeng Stadium.
At the Molepolole Sports Complex, Moemedi Moatlhaping’s solitary goal helped Sharps Shooting Stars overcome Sankoyo Bush Bucks 1-0.
Police XI edged out TAFIC 1-0 with David Makakaba scoring the only goal of the game which was played at the Otse Stadium.
Extension Gunners beat Mochudi Centre Chiefs 3-1 in a big encounter which took place at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium.
Desire Bafana, Mmoloki Kebalepile and Ofentse Mmipi all scored for Gunners, while Tshepo Borake netted Chiefs’ consolation goal.
Lastly, Security Systems were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Miscellaneous in an encounter which was played at the Lobatse Sports Complex.
Mpho Gaboitsewe netted for Systems, while Mponang Mponang hit the back of the net for Miscellaneous.
