Botswana Defence Force (BDF) XI assistant coach Louis Setshwane is happy with Rashid Mandawa’s form.

The Tanzania international scored once as BDF secured a 3-1 win over TAFIC in a BTC Premiership match at the Francistown Council Stadium on Sunday.

This was Mandawa’s 11th goal of the season and he’s now two goals behind the league’s top goalscorer Thatayaone Kgamanyane of Gaborone United.

"If you look at our players, they now have a better understanding on how we want them to play,” Setshwane told local media.

The tactician has been impressed by Mandawa, who joined Matebele prior to the start of the current campaign.

"Rashid is so fantastic and on another level. We will take it one game at a time, and we aiming high,” he added.

The victory took the seven-time Botswana Premier League (BPL) champions to third place on the league standings.

They are eight points behind log leaders Jwaneng Galaxy, who are only above second-placed Township Rollers on goal-difference.
