Township Rollers’ influential midfielder Edwin ‘Moluba’ Moalosi could miss the second-leg clash of the 2018 CAF Champions League first round.
Tanzanian giants Young Africans, who are nicknamed Yanga, will host Botswana side Rollers in the first-leg clash at the Tanzania National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam on Tuesday.
Moalosi dislocated his left elbow during Rollers’ 4-2 win over Orapa United in the 2017/18 Mascom Top 8 Cup final in Francistown last weekend.
The attacking midfielder’s left arm was plastered. The plaster will be removed after two weeks which means he could miss the second-leg encounter against Yanga.
A club statement read: “Moluba dislocated his left elbow joint during today's game against Orapa United in the Mascom Top 8 Final.”
“He was rushed to the hospital and treated over the dislocation. X-Rays showed the dislocation has been corrected and the joint is in place now.”
“But doctors had to plaster the left arm to avoid any jerks to the joint. The minimum duration for the plaster to be in place is for 2 weeks.”
The second-leg clash between Rollers and Young Africans will be played next week Saturday in Botswana.
