Jwaneng Galaxy have congratulated their Botswana Premier League (BPL) rivals Township Rollers.

This was Rollers secured a 2-1 win over Tanzanian giants Young Africans in the 2018 CAF Champions League first round first-leg match in Dar Es Salaam on Tuesday.

Galaxy recently replaced Rollers at the top of the BTC Premiership standings as the battle for this season’s league title continues.

The Jwaneng-based outfit released the following statement:

“Congratulations are in order to Township Rollers FC for flying Botswana Flag high.

Popa played their game in a superb manner. Everyone's eyes were glued to their screens.”

“You represented Botswana, Batswana and everyone who followed you and you made them happy. This was evidenced by the support you got from Tanzanians over their team

“Galaxy management and followers (galaxy family) wishes you all the best in the endeavor to make it to the next stage,” a club statement read.

Rollers are expected to host Young Africans in the second-leg encounter in Botswana next weekend. The winner on aggregate will advance to the group stage.

Galaxy will face Police XI in a league game at the Jwaneng Stadium on Saturday, while Rollers are expected to take on Black Forest at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium on Sunday.
