Botswana U20 continue preparations for Congo U20 clash

Botswana national under-20 side were in action on Sunday as they continued their preparations for the upcoming 2019 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

The Young Zebras will host Congo-Brazzaville on Saturday in Botswana in the second round first-leg match.

Botswana reached the second round after defeating their Namibian counterparts 1-0 on aggregate last month.

The Young Zebras, who are coached by Dragojlo Stanojlovic, beat Botswana’s U17 side 4-0 in a friendly match on Sunday.

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) released the following statement:

“The National Under 20 (Young Zebras) this morning played a friendly against the National under 17 (Diamond zebras) team who are currently doing weekend camps in preparation for the Cosafa Under 17 in Mauritius.”

“The Young Zebras beat the Diamond zebras 4-0 as the continued to shape up for Saturday 12th May 2018 Afcon Under 20 Qualifier second round first leg against Congo,” a statement read.
