Gaborone United caretaker coach Stephen Maposa was impressed by Extension Gunners’ performance over the weekend.

Moya Goleele were held to a goalless stalemate by Mapantsola in a BTC Premiership match which was played at the Lobatse Sports Complex on Saturday.

GU dominated the match, but they could not beat Gunners goalkeeper Thomas Malapela on the day.

Maposa, who took over following the departure of Argentine coach Rodolfo Zapata last month, congratuted Gunners.

“All I can say is to congratulate Gunners young team,” he said after the game,

“They did well (against us),” he continued.

The draw left GU placed fifth on the league standings having accumulated 41 points from 28 games.

They are only ahead of sixth-placed Botswana Defence Force (BDF) XI on goal difference with two games left.
