Township Rollers head coach Nikola Kavazovic says he is looking forward to their BTC Premiership clash with Miscellaneous which will be played at the Serowe Sports Complex on Thursday.

The Blues are heading into this encounter having defeated Ugandan champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC 1-0 in the 2018 CAF Champions Leaguer Group A opener at the National Stadium on Saturday.

“For sure the CAF victory gave us a boost. That was big win and players’ morale has grown to a top level. But we never have a problem with confidence, even when we lose the game. That is why we are where we are. On top on all levels,” Kavazovic told the club’s official website.

Rollers will be without key players such as Keeagile Kgosipula, Ofentse Nato, Ntesang Simanyana, Thato Bolweleng as well as Mosha Gaolaolwe.

“Skheza (Keeagile Kgosipula) and (Ofentse) Nato have injuries, Mirror (Ntesang Simanyana) has health problems, while Yello (Thato Bolweleng) is still recovering from injurie. Mosha (Gaolalwe) is suspended,” the Serbian tactician said.

Miscellaneous stunned Rollers 3-1 in the first round clash in Lobatse and Kavazovic believes several factors contributed to the first round loss to Tse Nala.

“We lost that game because it was in middle of preparations for Al Merreikh (CAF Champions League preliminary stage match against the Sudanese giants). Players were tired of high intensity practices and we made some silly mistakes. I can tell that we beat ourseves on that day,” Kavazovic added.

After the Miscellaneous game, Rollers travel to Tunisia at the weekend to meet Esperance in a CAF Champions League group match midweek, before returning to conclude the league programme against Extension Gunners.

“The team is fully prepared for everything waiting for us in those remaining three games. All we need is fair officiating and support. We need it now like never before this season,” he concluded.

Current league table leaders Rollers will retain the BTC Premiership title if they defeat Miscellaneous and second-placed Jwaneng Galaxy lose to Security Systems at home on Thursday.
