Botswana were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Congo-Brazzaville in the 2019 CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier over the weekend.
The second round first-leg encounter was played at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday.
The Young Zebras grabbed an early goal when they scored through Thabang Khuduga 25 minutes into the league encounter.
The hosts were able to contain the Young Red Devils until Angolan match referee Antonio Caluassi Dungula blew the half-time whistle.
However, Congo kept pushing after the restart and they managed to snatch a late equalizer through Louamba in the 90th minute to ensure that the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The second-leg clash will be played at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Débat in Brazzaville on Sunday.
The winner on aggregate will take on either Senegal or Egypt in the third round of the qualifying campaign.
