Esperance’s two goal hero Anice Badri has hailed their performance against BTC Premiership giants Township Rollers.
The midfielder was instrumental for the Tunisian side as they stunned Popa with a 4-1 win in their second CAF Champions League, Group A match on Tuesday.
Badri netted twice whilst goals through Youcef Belaili and Moez Bilel Mejri ensured they retained the full three points.
For the Botswana giants, they suffered their first loss in the group and now sit third in Group A with three points.
“We played a good game, even in the first half, despite having conceded. We managed to score four goals past the opponent; it’s good for our confidence," said Badri.
“We held on to the ball and worn our opponent down. I’m very satisfied and thankful for the result.”
The North Africans now lead the group table with four points and will meet Kampala Capital City Authority in July.
Moreover, the MASCOM Top 8 champions will be away to Cairo giants Al Ahly in their upcoming match in July.
