Local giants Notwane FC have already began preparing for the 2018/19 Botswana Premier League (BPL) campaign.

Toronto will campaign in the elite league next season after winning the 2017/18 Debswana First Division South title.

The Gaborone giants beat Prisons XI to the title, but the latter secured promotion back to the top flight league through the BPL play-offs.

The Warders defeated Debswana First Division North runners-up Sua Flamingos in an entertaining play-offs tie ealier this month.

Notwane head coach Keitumetse ‘Pio’ Paul, who has coached Extension Gunners and Sharps Shooting Stars in the BPL, says they need to beef their squad with quality players.

"I know what I have do to get Notwane ready for the premier league,” Paul told local media.

“It's hard work of finding the right players to beef up the team that will play as a unit and for the team.”

Notwane were relegated to the First Division South at the end of the 2014/15 BPL season.
