TAFIC relegated, Sankoyo & Systems survive

TAFIC were relegated from the Botswana Premier League (BPL) despite securing a win against Black Forest on Wednesday.

Matjimenyenga registered a 2-1 over Forest with Lungisane Fanyane and Michael Murirwa scoring for TAFIC.

Molaodi Tlhalefang scored Magoleng’s consolation goal at the Francistown Sports Complex.

At the Otse Police College Stadium, Sankoyo Bush Bucks brushed side Police XI 2-0 courtesy of goals from Morris Ruzivo and Oabile Bathusi.

Security Systems ended the campaign with a 1-0 win over Orapa United at the Lobatse Sports Complex with Lynoth Chikuhwa netting the only goal of the match.

The results saw TAFIC finish 14th on the league standings with 34 points - one behind 13th-placed Systems and 12th-placed Sankoyo.

Matjimenyenga joined Uniao Flamengo Santos and Gilport Lions, who have been relegated to the Debswana First Division after finishing in the bottom three.
