Local giants Extension Gunners ended the 2017/18 BTC Premiership campaign with a defeat against Township Rollers on Wednesday.

The Blues brushed aside Mapantsola 2-0 at the National Stadium in Gaborone and they failed to qualify for next season’s Mascom Top 8 Cup.

Gunners finished the season on position 10 - three points behind eighth-placed Black Forest.

Itumeleng Duicker, the Gunners coach, was pleased with how his charges performed in the second-half.

"We played much better in the second-half. I thanked my boys after the game,” Duicker told local media.

"I enjoy working with the young boys. They will be untouchable in two seasons to come.

"Its all about passion. There are challenges but we soldier on,” the Motswana tactician continued.

"I have no contract with the club. My advise is to start planning for new season now.”
