As they prepare to face Malawi on Wednesday afternoon, Botswana national team coach Major David Bright has expressed delight after their first 2018 Cosafa Cup win over Angola.
The Zebras claimed the Palancas Negras’ scalp on Monday in their Group B opener at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Onkabetse Seakanyeng and Onkabetse Makgantai netted the two goals for the Zebras, as they now sit at the top of the pool with three points.
Following their victory, the gaffer praised his men and their plan, but rued missed chances in the second stanza.
“It was a tough game, but I am happy our plan worked very well since we did a very good management job,” said Bright.
“In the first half our plan was to score two quick goals which we managed to achieve.
"In the second half, we thought we could get one or two goals but my boys missed a lot of chances.”
Botswana’s next encounter will be staged at Seshego Stadium on Wednesday evening at 19:30 as they hope to bag another victory.
