The Zebras of Botswana have provided an injury update ahead of their crucial clash with the Dodos of Mauritius on Friday.
The two teams will lock horns in the final 2018 COSAFA Cup Group B match at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa.
The winner of the encounter will finish at the top of the group and advance to the quarter-finals of the regional competition where they will face Zimbabwe.
Speedy winger Kobamelo Keibaikanye, who is on the books of Orapa United, will miss the game due to a knee injury.
However, the Zebras have been boosted by Jwaneng Galaxy defender Thato Kebue’s return from injury. He missed Botswana’s 1-1 draw with Malawi on Wednesday.
The Botswana Football Association (BFA) released the following statement:
“Kobamelo Swere kebaikanye will not feature today as he is out with a slight knee injury , however the winger would be available for the quarterfinals should Botswana qualify.”
“Thato Kebue trained with the team yesterday and is available for selection after missing the game against Malawi.”
“Karabo Phiri is likely to start in place of the speedy Kobamelo Kebaikanye,” a statement read.
