South African side Chippa United has announced the signing of two Botswana internationals Thatoyaone Kgamanyane and Kabelo Seakanyeng.
The two Gaborone United attackers caught the eye of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) club during the recent 2018 COSAFA Cup in Polokwane, South Africa.
Kgamanyane (22), who has earned himself the nickname, “Messi” scooped the 2017/18 Botswana Premier League Golden Boot with 20 goals. The winger has eight Botswana caps.
Seakanyeng (24) is already one of the senior members of the national team with 46 caps. He plays in the wide positions and as a second striker.
Chippa executive chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi has welcomed the both players to the Chilli Boys.
“We have been monitoring both players for a while and took the opportunity to watch them closely during Cosafa.
“We were looking for players that can give us more offensive power and we believe both are an answer to that,” said Mpengesi.
Mpengesi paid tribute to BPL giants GU for their professionalism during the negotiations: “I would like to thank Gaberone United Management on the manner they handled the negotiations. They were absolutely brilliant from day one.”
“The guys will make an impact in the Absa Premiership, I welcome them and wish them all the best in the blue and white of Chippa United,” concluded Mpengesi.
