Sharps Shooting Stars are set to start their preparations for the upcoming 2018/19 Botswana Premier League (BPL) season on Tuesday.
The Excellence Stars had a good 2017/18 season which saw them finish seventh on the BTC Premiership standings.
As a result, Sharps secured their place in next season’s Mascom Top 8 Cup which will be the eighth edition of the lucrative competition.
The Gaborone-based side have now revealed that their players will resume training on Tuesday.
A club statement read: “The Excellence Stars to resume their preparations campaign for 2018/2019 Season on Tuesday the 3rd, (4pm) at their based ground (Sharps Ground).”
Sharps will look to keep their star players such as Moemedi Moatlhaping, Monageng Thaele and Raphael Nthwane.
The three experienced players played an important role in helping the Excellence Stars qualify for the Mascom Top 8 Cup.
The team was under the guidance of Motswana tactician Michael Mogaladi and experienced Zambia trainer Mike Sithole last season.
