The Confederation of Botswana Premier League (CAF) assessment team has given Botswana Television (BTV) the green light to televise Township Rollers' next CAF Champions League game.
Rollers are scheduled to host Egyptian football powerhouse, Al Ahly in the 2018 CAF Champions League Group A game in Gaborone on the 28th of July 2018.
The CAF team recently assessed BTV's equipment and they gave them the permission to televise the encounter.
This was confirmed by the Botswana Football Association (BFA):
A BFA statement read: "A CAF assessment team that came to Botswana last week has granted BTV responsibility to produce as well as broadcast the next Township Rollers home game."
"Previously CAF said BTV was not capable but following intervention by BFA CAF team came to assess equipment of BTV and gave them the green light to produce the next home game."
"This means Rollers will not have to look for a production company outside the country, that will obviously come at a big cost to them."
Al Ahly defeated Rollers 3-0 in a Group A match at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria on Tuesday.
