Botswana Premier League (BPL) club Sharps Shooting Stars has announced the departure of goalkeeper Raphael Nthwane.
The 35-year-old shot-stopper played an important role in helping the Excellence Stars finish seventh on the BTC Premiership Standings during the 2017/18 season.
As a result, Sharps qualified for the most lucrative cup competition in the country, Mascom Top 8 Cup for the first time.
The Gaborone-based side released the following statement:
A club statement read: "Raphael Motlamedi Nthwane Takes A Break Away From Football Activities."
"Sharps Shooting Stars Fc would like to thank a player who had a great season and the only goalkeeper in our team who played more minutes (2520) than any player at Sharps Shooting Stars Fc this past season."
